Hampshire trades invited to learn more about Eco Building
April 8, 2011 by admin
Hampshire businesses interested in their environmental impact and green technologies will this week have a chance to learn more about the latest eco-building techniques. Highbury College will be hosting a Green Building event at their North Harbour Centre on Tuesday April 12th.
The event will provide builders, plumbers and tradesmen from across the region with the opportunity to learn more about green initiatives and techniques used in their trade and the new business potential these present. Hazel Hine, the project coordinator, said: "This event is a great opportunity for local trades people to find out about the business potential in the latest eco building technologies, and what skills the organisations commissioning contract work will be looking for in the future."
The Green Building event is part of the Eco Terrace Project which saw a normal Southsea Terrace House refitted to green standards. As well as involving local builders and trades, local schools also took part to educate students in green techniques, energy saving and how to be greener at home.
