Wallop Defence Systems Ltd (WDS) has been fined by Winchester Crown Court for a failure to properly assess and manage the risks put to their workers and the public. This follows the death of an employee in 2006 when a poweful explosion at one of their factories sent debris flying 200m into the air, killing one and injuring several other workers.
